For statistical analysis, Mann-Whitney test was used for ( A ) and ( B ). ∗ p < 0.05; ∗∗ p < 0.01 (with vs without C225 pretreatment). Confocal fluorescence microscopy images displaying the cellular localization of the Cy5.5 ( C ) and Cy5.5-EBP-Gd-DO3A ( D ) in MDA-MB-231 and U138 MG cells after 1 h of exposure to the agent. The cells were treated with Cy5.5 or Cy5.5-EBP-Gd-DO3A for 1 h and visualized under a fluorescence microscope.
